The HAC selects its teams from the following squad of players (in alphabetical order):
LCpl Ben de Rivaz
LCpl de Rivaz typically plays at No. 3. His home club is Ham and he has recently played for the Hackett Army development team winning best player at the RAF Cranwell tournament.
LSgt Alasdair Grant
LSgt Grant typically plays in No. 1. He has played for both the Regimental A (Arras) and B (Bullecourt) teams.
Tpr Luke Hartley
Tpr Hartley played polo for many years but following a sabbatical has picked up his polo stick and boots again. He has played in the Inter-Regimental, The William IV against the Grenadier Guards and the HCR at the IG Index 105.
Sgt Tim Johnson
Captain of the regimental team Sgt Johnson typically plays in No. 4. He learned to play polo in Pony Club and has served on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
LCpl Dale Langan
LCpl Langan learned to ride and play polo through the HAC’s polo training courses in 2010. A member of 1 Sqn, he has played for the regiment in the APoloA’s Inter-Regimental in Tidworth and for the IG Index Bullecourt Team at the IG Index 105.
Lt. Cy Lloyd Jones
After years as a regular Cavalry officer with the RDG serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, Lt. Lloyd Jones has been a natural addition to the team. He recently captained the victorious IG Index (B) Bullecourt Team against 2PARA at the IG Index 105.
Capt. Ben Loxton-Edwards
He has served in Iraq and Afghanistan and worked as the Emergency Department Senior House Officer. As the Regimental Medical Officer he is responsible for the medical detachment. He took up Polo in 2009 and is the unit’s Equitation Officer.
Tpr Gearoid O’Connor
The chairman of HAC Polo Tpr O’Connor typically plays at No. 2. Having learned to play at Haggis Farm he has played for the Hackett Army development team. He has served on operations in Afghanistan.
LCpl Patrick O’Riordan
LCpl O’Riordan has learned to play polo through the HAC’s courses. Also a rugby player for the regiment he has proved to have a natural eye for the ball and typically plays at No. 1. He has played for the regiment on a number of occasions.
